Our Music Program
Offered for students in grades 7-12
Master's College Music is a music program like no other. We offer two very unique and interactive modules for you to choose from during your semester of music - the General Music Module, and the Creative Music & Tech Module. Each module is based around personal interests and passion.
General Music Module
General Music is a sequence of courses for the students interested in a broad spectrum of musical experiences. Specifically, the student is involved as a performer, a listener, a critic, a consumer, a historian, a creator and a composer. Students in this module will have the choice of their preferred instrument and also have the opportunity to create a band with their fellow peers. Composition is a large component of the general music module, and bands will have the opportunity to record their own unique composition in our recording studio.
The result of this module will be improved knowledge of music theory and music composition.
Creative Music and Tech Module
The goal of this module (based on the General Music and the Information and Communication Technology curriculum) is to create real-world learning experiences in the music and technology industry.
The results of this course will be a collection of high-quality audio recordings, compositions, and creative music productions- including albums and videos. Students in this module will have the opportunity to learn how to record and master tracks in our recording studio. Students will also receive experience in live performance setup and mixing. This module is student-led, with goals that the individual wants to achieve. Classroom musicians will be able to record, and use these recordings and videos as a portfolio for the current music industry.
